Friends of
The Bramptons School
We wish to express a warm welcome
to all parents and new families to The Bramptons
Primary School.
The Friends of The Bramptons
Primary School are a group of parents who organise
fundraising events to provide the school with
additional resources which are not normally
provided, for the benefit of our pupils, now and in
the future. These provide sociable entertainment for
the children and parents and at the same time raise
much needed funds.
As well as purchasing items for
the school that enhance the environment the Friends
subsidise school outings, supply funds for outside
organisations to come into school to provide
learning and educational experiences that support
the school curriculum.
At the heart of the school lies
the view that every child is special and deserves to
achieve their full potential and as Friends we
support the school in this.
We like to think that we are a
warm and friendly group and as each and every parent
is a valued member we would really welcome any
comments, ideas, and of course, offers of help!
At least one of us can be found
at school at the beginning or end of the day, or you
could drop a note in the Friends’ Message Box in
reception. This is your chance to be involved in
your child’s school life. All new parents are warmly
welcomed to join us when their child enters school.
Any offers of support, no matter
how small, are always very much appreciated. New
members are needed to generate new ideas. Informal
committee meetings are held in the evenings/after
school on a monthly basis to discuss topics of
interest, future events and ways of using the
available funds.
Dates can be found on the School
Notice Board and School Website. The meetings are
relaxed and informal and there is no pressure at all
to become any more involved than you would like to
be. Everyone is welcome to come along to find out
what’s going on, to have your say, or to become more
involved in the fundraising events. It would be
fantastic to see you – so do come along!
An Annual General Meeting (AGM)
is held each year to elect principle officers and
parents are invited to join the General Committee.
We have been very fortunate over
the last few years and have been able to claim £1
for £1 from Barclaycard on various events. If you
have any connections where this may still be
possible please let us know.
